About Me
Hop-Ayr Farms started in 1994 as a concept that sustainable agricultural practices should and can be a lifestyle choice for everyone. We believe that agriculture is not a zone, activity, hobby, or occupation. Rather, agriculture is what it means to be human. To be human is to nurture the environment around us, to make it better, and to help it achieve its full potential.
In the early days, Hop-Ayr Farms piloted one of the first grass-based, New Zealand style, intensive rotational grazing dairy farm in Northeastern Oklahoma, and Hop-Ayr Farms explored unique urban farming concepts. Today, Hop-Ayr focuses on practicing, learning, and pioneering sustainable micro-farming techniques with chickens, garden vegetables, goats, guardian dogs, and more. We are committed to the health and well-being of humans, animals, and the environment. We accomplish this through our personal family investment in each unique animal or crop. We maximize the use of recycling, composting, and complementary animals or crops to ensure the best health and yield - now and for many generations to come.
