Dr. Susan's Therapy Pups
About Me
My name is Dr. Susan Istre. The first thing you need to know-- is that I am not a breeder! I get my pups from a couple of breeder friends I know and trust. I only get the smallest, cutest pick of the litter babies to be a part of my animal assisted therapy program. I work with children and adults in my private practice counseling clinic in Dallas, Texas and take the pups to work with me daily. I have been doing this for several years and the puppies are a big hit! They calm and motivate clients to engage in the therapy process. The pups also help us to teach children to pick up on non verbal social cues. They are loved and adored by all my clients. Hardly any child complains about coming to therapy because they know they will be warmly welcomed with tail wagging and puppy kisses,
My puppies are all healthy and happy. They are all hypo allergic and non shedding and have been vet checked and are current on their shots. They stay at my house and are a part of my family. I potty pad train all pups and start their outside training as well. I use Cesar Millan dog training techniques to help shape them into the most well behaved pups around!
I only have a few pups at a time, except at Christmas and other holidays when clients beg me to get more. They trust that I will choose the best pups and give them the most healthy and loving start. They have all turned out to be wonderful family pets! I get pictures and updates on their lives weekly! People are so happy with their pups that they often call me back to get a sibling.
I spend a lot of time and money on my pups. I guarantee they are well worth any extra cost that must be passed on to you in order to support the continuation of my animal assisted therapy program.
