All we breed are SCOTTIES!! All of our dogs have an excellent AKC Bloodline - bred for health and personality!! I have bought them all over the United States to create a better diverse bloodline to improve health.

We only do AKC - all our puppies are registered and we do not have any Scotties that do not meet rigorous AKC Scottish Terrier breed standards!! I do not mix registries and strongly believe that AKC is the best registry as some of the lesser/later ones are a little sketchy. We have been Raising AKC Scottie for over 20 years now. As I said, we only do Scotties… One way you can spot a puppy mill is the sale of multiple breeds.

Our puppies are raised under foot, are very spoiled and well socialized. This makes a nice difference. Our Puppies are kept with their mothers until 8 - 10 weeks of age. Sometimes I like to keep a puppy a little longer depending on size and social development. Our puppies are sold to approved homes only. We take the Breeding of our Scotties very seriously and feel a lifetime responsibility for any pup that comes out of our kennel. We feel that our goal is to produce Scotties that are healthy, animated, have socializing started, and of course are true to the AKC breed standard. Please contact us for further information… It is a big plus if you have been “owned” by a Scottie before.

Scotties are the most handsome of breeds, they are brilliant and they do not shed!

Whether they are shipped, picked up or delivered,
they will have a vet check-up, current immunizations,
they will be negative for worms. They will come with
AKC papers, a contract and health guarantee and all come with my special new puppy kit.

I am convinced that the Scottish Terrier is absolute best breed in the world - that is why I have been raising them over 20 years now - after I “retired” from Raytheon (to work harder!!) To me one Scottie is worth 10 other dogs... HOWEVER, not every home is compatible with this dignified, stout loving & VERY stubborn little fellow or Lassie!!

I feed homemade and some excellent quality kibble and will provide you with a bag for your new puppy. I provide a contract which guarantees their health for one year. They are guaranteed for life to be free of genetic defects.

ALL our puppies will come with :

* AKC Registration & Litter Certificate (shows lineage)
* New Puppy Kit (Breed & general puppy information
* A toy that smells like Mommy & litter mates)
 * Bag of Small Breed Puppy Food
 * Current Shots & Health check from Vet
 * Health Guarantee & contract

This litter is $1200 each - Please note: The price does not include shipping or delivery which usually is around $350 to ship by air to most of the United States.

**** NOTE FOR NEXT DAY PETS!! *****
PLEASE DO NOT PAY THEIR $25 non refundable fee to NEXT DAY PETS - I never see this and do not want you to waste your money!! Once we have worked out the puppy is still available and we know you can handle this little bundle of fiery love!! THEN - we’ll work out the deposit (usually $250) and the rest which will depend on whether you need shipping or not…

Thus far, it hasn’t cost over $350 to ship. I haven’t sent them to all 50 states though and some areas do not have the PET SAFE shipping available. But I will cross that bridge when I get there! I have had some new parents fly here and I meet them at the airport and then they fly home with the little angel in their possession in the cabin with them. I have some lovely soft cages that I can bring to you so you only have to show up at the airport. I charge a minimal charge of $50 to take them to the airport as I have to get up at 3-4AM and drive over 100 miles roundtrip and there are several tolls I have to go through. Then the cage is an additional $25 but I get them big enough that you can use them even when your wee Scot is grown! AND of course there is no additional charge if you come here!!

Yes, I am convinced that the Scottish Terrier is absolute best breed in the world and to me one of them is worth 10 other dogs... HOWEVER, not every home is compatible with this dignified, stout loving little fellow or Lassie!!

I have a questionnaire that I will need you to fill out if you are interested in one of my babies and have never been owned by a Scottie before!!

The questions are about interaction they will have with other pets, children as well as how much they will be left alone and their living environment.

We (Linda’s Bonnie Scots) have been breeding some of the finest and most lovable Scottish Terrier in the Lone Star State since 1997. We not only breed our dogs with strict standards, but we nurture and love them, raising them alongside our own family. Of course it’s our family that makes our dogs such wonderful companions and show quality dogs.

We’re different from the larger, professional kennels out there. We’re a small, family-owned and operated breeder that raises our beautiful dogs out of love and enjoyment. I invite you to view the hundreds of pictures of our home and dogs at our GreenAresGardems.smgmug.com.

Are you looking for an alert, protective and hardy Scottish Terrier? Well, you can rest assured that our dogs are not only beautiful, but friendly and well behaved as well.
Green Acres Gardens and the Bollengier family home is the perfect place to raise puppies. All of our dogs are raised alongside our kids, who give the pups and parents alike lots of love and play time. From their earliest days, our puppies are socialized and exercised through a bunch of good, old fashioned fun since they play and run with our energetic kids every day.

So what does all of this mean for you and our dogs? First of all, many larger breeders aren’t able to ensure that all of their dogs receive the loving attention that we give our dogs every day. Some pups may go days without any direct human contact, which often leaves them skidish, or nervous around people. Though dogs are highly adaptive in many situations, it could be some time before a dog raised in this fashion will come out of its shell and reach its full potential as a loving and loyal companion. Our dogs come ready to love!

I guarantee my Scotties for 1 year from health problems. I’ve been raising Scotties since I retired from Raytheon in 1997! I’ve had families come back second and third times to add to their family again.

Our puppies must stay with their mothers a MINIMUM of 8 - 10 Weeks, this is a standard among legitimate breeders (vs Puppy mills) You must understand why they want to get rid of them at 6 weeks - as I can attest,  they are a LOT OF WORK!!! But for the benefit of the puppies I insist on keeping them 8-10 weeks with their mother and litter-mates.

My puppies live in the house in the middle of our loving family. They are completely housebroken on papers when I send them home. I will help instruct you on how to switch to outdoor training when they get big enough.

My pups have their first set of shots at 8 weeks - My veterinarian says that it is a shame and waste to give them a shot at 6 weeks their body cannot use the immunity yet and he doesn’t acknowledge these shots at all in his patients and starts over at 8 weeks with the 3 round series.

They will come with a starter bag of their puppy food, their AKC registration papers, information about their diet and health plus a toy that smells like their mother! I have also ordered a Litter certificate for these puppies of which you will be given an official copy. All pedigrees of my babies are on my website for your perusal.

You can email me at LLBollengier at aol or call 972-734-6041

I call my babies LINDA’s Bonnie SCOTS

$350 delivery includes delivery on United Airlines (kennel, health certificate required for flying, etc included) I feel good about United as they have special climate controlled pet cargo space they call it "Pet-Safe" .

Some areas may require different transportation at a different cost. We can discuss that is the United PetSafe delivery is not an option.

MEET THE BREED - Scottish Terrier
The Scottish Terrier, often called the "Scottie," is best recognized for its distinctive profile and hard, wiry, weather-resistant outer coat in a black, brindle or wheaten color. Its beard, eyebrows, legs and lower body furnishings are traditionally shaggy. Like many breeds in the Terrier Group, Scotties are small yet strong and known as fast, alert and playful dogs. The Scottish Terrier is the only breed of dog that has lived in the White House three times, with Presidents Roosevelt, Eisenhower and George W. Bush.

A Look Back
Naturally a "digger" at heart, the Scottie was originally bred to hunt and kill vermin on farms. King James VI, known to adore the breed, is said to be responsible for the rise in popularity in Scotland during his reign. Scotties were introduced to America in the 1890’s and continue to remain a common fixture in American households.
Right Breed for You?
Scotties thrive as house pets and are gentle, loving members of their families. Their spirited natures require obedience training, and they need regular exercise (on leash, as the chase instinct is strong). The Scottie coat requires regular brushing and clipping to maintain the characteristic breed outline.

General Appearance
The Scottish Terrier is a small, compact, short-legged, sturdily-built dog of good bone and substance. His head is long in proportion to his size. He has a hard, wiry, weather-resistant coat and a thick-set, cobby body which is hung between short, heavy legs. These characteristics, joined with his very special keen, piercing, "varminty" expression, and his erect ears and tail are salient features of the breed. The Scottish Terrier's bold, confident, dignified aspect exemplifies power in a small package.
Size, Proportion, Substance

The Scottish Terrier should have a thick body and heavy bone. The principal objective must be symmetry and balance without exaggeration. Equal consideration shall be given to height, weight, length of back and length of head. Height at withers for either sex should be about 10 inches. The length of back from withers to set-on of tail should be approximately 11 inches. Generally, a well-balanced Scottish Terrier dog should weigh from 19 to 22 pounds and a bitch from 18 to 21 pounds.

Scottish Terriers, also known as Aberdeen Terriers, or Scotties, are lively little dogs from the country of Scotland. Scottish Terriers and West Highland Terriers were both bred to dig-out and hunt vermin. Scotties are so brave and determined in this pursuit, that they earned the nickname “Little Diehards”. They were fearless in digging into dens and were bred with strong tails—so that the owners could literally pull the little dogs out of a den by the tail!

Scottish Terriers come in 3 colors: the typical black coat that we are familiar with; brindle (which is a mix of brown and black); and “wheaten”, which is straw-colored to nearly white. Scotties have a double-coat: Their outer coat is stiff and course and protects them from weather; the under coat is soft and thick. Scotties need to be brushed regularly, and taken to the groomer’s to be trimmed at least twice a year. Typically, a Scottie cut will have the hair clipped close over the dog’s neck and back, with the hair long (called an apron) on the sides, chest and legs. They also will have the eyes and top of muzzle trimmed close, but left with long “beard” around the nose and mouth, and distinctive thick, long eyebrows. Scotties typically have alert, upright ears, and a tail that stands up or away from the body. Their eyes are bright and alert.
