I made the hard decision to offer this spayed adult girl for adoption.
I want her to be THE dog for someone, not one of many so she gets to have a lot of time and fun. She is a great dog, doesn't HAVE to go and I will hold out for the right match for her.

What I would like is a home that will give her a similar lifestyle to what she has here, but just with less dogs. She may even be okay as an only dog, but having a dog or two to play with would be great. She's spayed, current on all vaccinations, has had all health testing we do for a breeding dog including OFA good hips, normal elbows, MDR1 normal and clear of various genetic disease like HSF4 hereditary cataracts, Collie Eye Anomaly and more. She is microchipped and current on heartworm preventative too. She's a house dog and used to a fenced yard, and I do want that for her. She's not a runner, has a good recall, but since she's never NOT had a fenced yard I want her to have one for her safety. She's been on raw food since she was weaned and ideally I'd like to see her stay on at least partly raw, since it is hard for a dog on that to go to just processed food (kibble). It's no better for them than us! LOL!

She's still an active dog, loves to play in the hose and will do spectacular leaps, she loves those huge horse toy balls (see photos on my site on the Jumbo Ball Fun page.) She loves to ride shotgun when I do errands. She has a good off button but still has plenty of energy and "go" to have many active years ahead of her, so I would like an owner who wants to do stuff, not just have a dog around. She's used to doing things. She has not grown up with small kids so ideally a home without kids or with older kids would be better. She hasn't been aggressive to them, just isn't used to living with them. She's been good when families have visited though, and isn't as movement reactive as many Aussies are.

If Dori sounds like a dog you'd want to live with, or if you know someone who would, feel free to contact me. You can see more of her here on her page on my site:

She is available to an approved home only, with an adoption contract, and must be picked up in person. She's a super cool dog and I want a super home for her or she will not go anywhere! Email

*************  Whether you are looking for an Aussies for a companion or even for show, it pays to choose carefully and get the best you can. Find a breeder you enjoy working with as they will be your source for advice as you raise your puppy. We take our role as stewards of this amazing breed quite seriously. We are not just breeding to crank out pups to sell, but plan each breeding with the goal of correcting minor faults and maintaining the essence and quality of the lines we have. For us it's quality over quantity. By doing all recommended health testing, it ensures we've done all we can to produce healthy, sound puppies. We also evaluate the structure and breed type (how well the dog meets the written breed standard) and most of all assess the temperament, since that is what affects the day to day life with the dog. Our dogs are AKC or AKC/ASCA registered. Pups sold as companions with limited registration and spay/neuter agreement. Full registration for show/breeding on limited basis, to experienced show homes only, not just for casual breeding. Puppies come with AKC or AKC/ASCA papers, premium food, toys, pictures of parents and pups since birth, copies of the parents health test results, and info on Aussies and general puppy care. We also have an extensive health guarantee. They are current on vaccinations, wormings and are started on Interceptor for heartworm prevention. Pups are born inside and undergo the Bio-Sensor program to maxmimize potential. We feed a premium diet (raw food and supplements, and premium dry food) and put a lot of thought, care and passion into everything we do with our dogs. We start crate and potty training, and we take the pups on several car rides before they leave. We also start them on grooming training. We want them to have appropriate, caring, permanent homes once they leave us. We keep a smaller number of dogs so each dog gets plenty of attention daily. We get to know each of our pups very well too, so we can help match you with a puppy with the right temperament. All my dogs and puppies are available to approved homes only. We reserve the right to refuse sale of a pup or dog. I don't ship puppies. It is best they are picked up in person so I can meet you and introduce you to our dogs. I am starting a waiting list and taking deposits to hold your place in line to choose a pup. Check out my website at http://qualityaussies.webs.com/ for so much more information on the breed.
