About Jay

Jay, the mighty mite, that's me!! I come with an awfully big personality in a convenient little package. I am a 3 year old terrier mix who is confident in any setting, especially with all the people I adore, and that is pretty much anyone and everyone on the planet. I have walked with a couple of the medium sized dogs here and I can get along with other canines, but I am more of a "rather be with people" kind of guy. By the way, Valley Humane has been nice enough to get me ready for my forever home, I've had some dental work, nails clipped, and been neutered, so, I can be ready to leave with you today.
I must have been held or carried a lot in my prior living arrangement (purse puppy syndrome) because my feet got a bit sore from all the walks here at Valley Humane. Whew, the people here sure do like to walk a lot and I have learned to love it too. I am good on leash, but since I'm under 10 pounds, I'm not sure if you'd notice when I do pull. Watch me when I walk though, I have a cute kinda swagger/bounce to my step. If I come home to live with you I'd really like to keep walking, I know it's good for me and it won't be for a marathon session You really should come on down and see how short my legs are. I am a very good eater and I do enjoy a few treats now and then-they haven't found my absolute favorite treat here yet so maybe we can make that our mission when you teach me some cute tricks.
