AC and Heat---their area has a wash down system that runs every two hours -- Keeping their area's clean and fresh. We wish you the best of luck with your new puppy---- Wherever you adopt it from! Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you again! Many References Available! Sincerely Victoria PUPPY SPOILING INSTRUCTIONS-----Attached to his or her carrier you will find an envelope which contains lots of information--- Registration Papers and Pedigree--- Puppy Instructions--Things to watch for! Shot record and health checks for your vet and a copy of the contract for you to keep for your records. There will be a small bag of his or her puppy food in the top compartment of their carrier. Just remember --it is very very important that he or she eats well for you the first few days even though they will be going through some separation anxiety from leaving their siblings. Remember they love boiled chicken -- They love it straight Cut up very small --most of the time I mix 2/3 chicken to 1/3 very soft cooked rice(I blend it with my hand held mixer till fairly smooth ) --and they are spoiled to having chicken every night- about 1/2 cup --the easy way to continue this spoiling is to buy Gerber Chicken and Gravy baby food in the jar. A little expensive but they will love it and you will not have to boil the chicken yourself. The baby can eat the whole jar! Also--They love cottage cheese --Small Curd 4% Milkfat for their coats and DannonLeCreme Vanilla Yogurt---Remember to never give a puppy (sugar substitute) of any kind---REAL SUGAR IS FINE! They are currently eating Royal Canin Mother & Baby Dog -- a small triangle shape and softer for them to chew---You can try other puppy foods as long as they are high quality and small bites that are easy to chew--they have such tiny mouths and their teeth are not fully erupted--- not to say that they are not very sharp----you will need to continue his no-bite teaching--they do not mean to bite it is their way of playing---I try to teach them to Kiss Kiss with licks --but not to bite but sometimes they get excited and nip. When playing with them I try to always have one of their toys in my hand and when they want to bite during play I make sure it is their toy in their mouth and encourage them to chew on it and not me!!Give them toys that they know are theirs and they will learn what is Theirs to play with--- Puppy Proof the house as much as you can---like dangling electric cords and small objects should be up high. I buy them baby rattles from Walmart---They are inexpensive---lightweight ---easy to wash and keep clean. They love them--they are lightweight--easy to pick up and run with--hard plastic--good for them to chew and cut teeth on---they rattle and make a little noise which they enjoy--also the little infant wrist rattles that are cloth are also good and easy to wash in the laundry. Please--- call me as soon as you have picked up so that I will know that he or she is safe in your arms!!!! Take a pair of scissors with you to the airport--the carrier will probably be zip-tied shut for safety-- you will need to cut it. Also bring wipes in case of an accident. I would prefer that you not put him or her down just anywhere on the grass to potty because remember we still need to protect them and who knows how many other dogs have used the airport grounds. Choose somewhere safer at home and train him or her to go potty there or use puppy pads at home. We must protect them until they have their immunities built up!!!! Look forward to keeping in touch ! Victoria Your new baby will fly home to you in his or her own new carrier for you to keep -- You would go to the airport and show your identification and Pick him or her up. Airline travel is the best way to get your new baby home -- I do not use ground transport if at all possible due to the stress it places on the baby -- And you never know if they have placed your baby with others that may not be healthy-- When they fly home they remain in their own new carrier from the time I drop them at the Airport until you open the door and get them out for hugs and kisses--- Who ever gets them out and loves on them and helps them to feel secure is their savior and the bonding begins!! It is getting cooler and we need to fly the baby United/Continental Airlines if Possible -- because they guarantee me their temperature control throughout their trip taking the babies to and from the plane in Heated or air-conditioned vehicles!! United and Continental are in the process of Merging which adds many new flights available for puppies. United has adopted the Continental Pets Safe Program! Preferably a large Airport that United/Continental Flies into. What Airport near you does United/Continental Airlines fly into ? Delta is also an option providing the temperatures are cool enough! Victoria Roberts (918-696-9106) Thank You!
