FOR SALE: “BONNIE “ is a UKCI registered SOLID BLUE FEMALE Whippet puppy (white trim on her paws and chin/chest). A DEPOSIT WILL BE REQUIRED to hold her. She will be registered UKCI.************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Please understand WE ARE NOT A KENNEL!!! Our dogs are raised in our kitchen and are always underfoot! Our Whippets are our family members FIRST, are INDOOR HOUSEDOGS, and we usually have a small few litters a year. Each litter is planned carefully ahead of time……much of our proceeds from our Whippet sales are put towards our rescue efforts as animal rescue is a major focus*************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Our Whippets are raised as companions and pets ONLY, and we DO NOT sell to breeders, kennels, brokers, or pet stores, nor are our dogs sold for breeding except on a very limited basis and that is RARE. There are some pups on Puppyfind right now that are from our lines and the parent dogs were never sold for that purpose!….PLEASE be honest upfront if you have intentions of wanting one of our dogs for breeding. And please do not ask us if we know of other breeders in your area…that is for you to research if you do not want to travel or have one shipped if you live too far away from us….Although we will always have one or two in a litter that could be considered “show quality,” we do not consider them any differently than the others and sex or color doesn’t matter for price either. The price is the same for any of our Whippets (EXCEPT FOR SOLID BLUE!!!) and they are QUALITY dogs. Our Whippets are VERY social and are housedogs…after all, they ARE our pets!! Every one will readily greet anyone at the door, and that is not an exaggeration! People are always amazed with just how friendly and outgoing our Whippets are….************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Our puppies are also raised in the house and are handled and played with daily from day one. Dewclaws are removed by 3 days of age. They will be started on crate-training at 6 weeks of age and continued until they leave. We keep ours’ until they are at least 10 weeks of age, so this has to be understood…no more exceptions!!! Our Whippets will stay with us until they are AT LEAST 10 WEEKS OLD!!! They will be better able to handle the stresses of a new environment. They learn invaluable added social skills from their siblings and their parents, and also will have at least 2 combination boosters in them as well as boostered separately for kennel cough, along with Neopar and Neovac D initially. Those extra couple of weeks make sure a huge difference in their emotional maturity and they need that time for added socialization and learning skills from their siblings as well as their momma…Puppies will be used to cats, parrots, children, and other dogs large and small and will be well-socialized to a variety of stimuli….we have several of our dogs we’ve sold that are in flyball, lure coursing, agility, Frisbee, as well as have gone on to become certified therapy or service dogs…..**********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************WE DO NOT HAVE SHY OR TIMID WHIPPETS and no aggression either! Our Whippets really favor the European heritage and tend to be smaller and more refined, especially our females; definitely more petite and elegant and not the huge American sizes. We will have both parent dogs here; we’ve had several generations of our own dogs and they’ve always been incredibly robust healthy dogs and no health concerns with eyes, ears, joints, skin, or heart. Our eldest Whippets have since left us in the past few years, but both were long lived at 15.5 and 16 years respectively….*****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Pups will have had at least 2 vet visits for check ups and evaluations/wellness exams including a FULL veterinary physical; and will come with all current vaccinations, current dewormings, a current veterinary fecal exam, and a current general health certificate before leaving. They will also have had their first month’s dose of heartworm preventative given as well as a dose of Frontline Plus applied. MICROCHIPPING IS ALSO INCLUDED. All our dogs are micro chipped before they go.. Puppies will come with a small bag of food and a blanket, as well as a crate IF we ship. ALL records will come with your puppy, including the registration papers. Your pup will come ready to go with everything including tip care sheets and all the records, as well as info regarding the food, crate-training, housebreaking, chewing, etc…and know that we ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR SUPPORT, ANYTIME, AND THAT IS FOR THE LIFE OF YOUR DOG!!!!!! And if, for whatever reason, you can no longer keep your Whippet, please know that we will always take our dogs back. So if something happens, we would want to be notified first and will make the necessary arrangements.*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************SHIPPING IS NOT INCLUDED, but is available if necessary; keep in mind it has become rather costly…we will ship IF necessary. Neutering is also available for an additional fee. Regardless, A DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE ANY PUPPY!!! PLEASE, SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!!!! Preference is given to those that have sight hound experience….however, we will gladly speak with anyone regarding Whippets and suggest if you haven’t had before, to PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH before contacting. While they are wonderful pets and companions and make GREAT family dogs, they are not a dog for everyone. They do have their quirks, as does any breed. If you have very small children, please be aware these are puppies and everything that entails….they will chew and nibble and jump up just like any puppy; sometimes with gusto. We had an instance where someone purchased one of our pups and complained exactly about that same issue the first week with the puppy nibbling on fingers and ears! Really? Yep!! Normal puppy behavior, and yes, puppy teeth are like needles and very sharp, but apparently not everyone is fully prepared for that with very young children. Puppies can be exuberant and they have to be taught what is correct and what is not; that is up to the new owners to continue with the proper training! The puppies do not automatically know what is okay and what is not; they have to be taught just like any child would. If you are not prepared for this and to continue with training, then one of our dogs is not for you.
