The Boykin Spaniel as a breed was developed for hunting and retrieving feathered game. They make wonderful duck, quail, dove, pheasant (and any other upland type bird) flushing and retrieving dogs. Above all, the Boykin has a kind nature and they are easy to train. This puppy will steal your heart and probably end up sleeping on your bed. You can't go wrong with a Boykin as a family pet.
