About Clever

Clever is a 2 year old neutered male, housebroke, has been at Board and Train and been socialized and lived with a pack of Balanced Dogs. Clever is E collar trained and rarely needs a correction. He is VERY people pleasing, and has medium toy/drive. He would do best in a home with a female owner who is committed to his needs. He has been a dream to work and train with. I have had him in public settings and he is neutral to dogs and people. Solid recall, lie down, wait, quiet, drop it, settle down, leave it.
He will need a skilled owner, familiar with the breed. I will be VERY picky as to where he goes.
He came from a high kill shelter and has been successfully rehabilitated and trained for about 8 months now.
He rides well in the car, quietly> I have had him around small dogs, however, he is always monitored closely. He does well with more low traffic home but is quiet in his crate, he can be kenneled, however due to his time at the shelter, I want him in a home setting. Rather than in a kennel. This dog would make a GREAT competitive sports, recreational nose work, active companion for someone who is familiar and EXPERIENCED with the breed. He does love the other dogs, male and females here. Loves water! He has been appropriate with all dogs. ( but I am a highly skilled trainer as well.)
Clever is microchipped, up to date on shots and looking for a home where someone can meet his needs. Both mentally and physically. He is able to come in and “chill” and just be a dog. He has not been around little kids. I recommend adult only home. He has been around special needs girl in my home. He warms up to strangers once greeted “neutrally.”

He is VERY loyal and kind and a sensitive guy too. He cares about doing the “right” thing.
