We are going out 0f town for a day. The wife wants to bring our Dog with us, but we have had issues in the past (there is a larger Dog and kids at the house we are going to). I want to leave Chelsea at home. It may be as long as 12 hours and I know I might have to clean up a mess or 2 but I think it is better than breaking up a Dog fight or soothing a crying child.
Will our Dog be ok?

How old is the dog, what breed and has it been left alone in the past? Does she chew or bark when left alone?

Is there a neighbor or someone who can come over once or twice and let her out?

Hire someone to come in and take care of her. You can't assume she will just potty in the house while your gone. She may not and its not a good thing for a Dog to hold their stools for that long and some dogs can and will do it.

Ask around I'm sure someone will be willing to help.

We've got a nice neighbor who comes and lets our dogs out when we are gone for most of the day.
