well i just about fell for one of the nigerian puppyscams.i was to get two 12 week old Puppies for free.i emailed the guy and he emailed back that he wanted 580.00 for shipping them over here.it was a five hour flight.we talked back in forth for 4 days and i had got him down to 200.00.come to find out he did not have the Puppies he had stolen pictures of someone elses and sent them to me.

Did you give him your personal info (name, home address, phone #)? I got into that same situation recently. |

We had fallen for the same scam today -but this last email tipped us off. One new twist is that they are now using the name L who is an actual breeder, so if you google that name, there is a legitimate dealer's website with real photos.
How evil can people be to do this to a child at Christmas?!

Meanwhile you will have to go immediately to make payments for shipment to commence.So below is the informations needed to make the payments either through WesternUnion or Money Gram

well i fell inot 1 of thoses scams too only i just found out about it right after i emailed him my information which im worried what he'll try to do with it - he said he was a missionary and was being sent to africa with his family that the Dog was like his child (although only 9 wks old) and wanted a good home for her he even blessed me and thanked god for leading me to him - he also asked for me to send pictures of the Dog for the next three months adoption was $250 and whatever shipping charges and as payment only wanted money gram or western union i am pretty mad that some one would go to such lengths to steal from someone at expense of a family's happiness - |

I have asked for official papers to be sent. I have recieved, per e-mail, a document supposedly from the National Wildlife Federation. with stamp and everything. Has anyone recieved anything like that before?
The person that I have been in contact with is the "missionary" and is "very upset" that I do not trust a "man of God". I sent the 130, its gone, but they had asked for some other charges for release at the airport and vaccine costs. I did some homework this morning and am VERY glad II ran accross several forums of these scammers. They have also told me if I do not pay then i will be under investgation for smuggling.

After writing an e-mail saying I am unable to send any money but will pay for it when the puppy was at my doorstep I have recieved a couple replies.....
One from the "seller" saying how dare I not trust a "man of god" blah blah blah...
and the other from where ever the puppy is suppose to be waiting for the money for release saying.....
please send us a copy of:
drivers licence
passport
SSN
and any other identity papers.
Havent heard from them since.

I was searching for a Dog to adopt and stumbled across a pair of Yorkies...Mimi and Kelly or something like that... well... I emailed the seller to see what was up with that.I looked up victoria cameroon online to see just what the deal was... because it was all a little weird to me... and eventually i found this. So... BEWARE... these people have stooped to a new level of scamming people out of money! This is the email that "vinda" sent to me!

Check this out, they are trying to scare me with the police in the UK now....
what have you take me for???a liar??i have just britain and there told me that lisa is still there and that there are looking for way to get you,so i will not like us to act this way ok,so if you know that you really love yourseft find away to get my puppy out of that country ok,do you want to try and see,if you have verify and see that i am a fraud star find but you have to not that the cops in britain are already looking for and when there get you,.you will pay dearly for the punishment that you have given them ok,bye and until you have the puppy do not mail me again ok.?????????????????that is not good at all.

I started filing a complaint but I didnt get to finnish before my husband shut the computer off! OOps! |

Stop contact with these people. Don't play with them. Would you chat up a bank robber? These people are no better. If they have your land line number your address is just a google minute away. |

 EVERY SINGLE BIT OF THIS is the fault of people trying to get something for nothing...ever heard..that if it sounds too good to be true it probably isnt!!!!! there are many many many Puppies advertised for sale right here in the good old usa...why on earth...would someone try and purchase from nigeria?? of all the godforsaken places????????????????????? the warnings are posted on every single web site...!! this is just ignornace and greed!!! BUY USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really wanted this and I was willing to take a chance and yes, I know, it was a mistake.
But if I was IN the US I never would have considered it.
I have seen so many dogs advertised in the US that need good homes but its hard for me to get one over here in Germany!
I thought I did my homework before I fell for it but OBVIOUSLY didnt find that what I expected to find.
I have stopped all contacts. I always thought these forums were nice to have but when somebody comes back with a smart ass answer it kind of ruins everything.
You may be the smartest person in the world but how about KEEPING IT TO YOURSELF. Thanks |
