"reputable, responsible breeders do not ship puppy's."
I'm just going to point out again that Sue should not make a blanket judgement like this.
Reputable, responsible breeders *may* ship Puppies to well-screened homes.
I shipped a puppy last Monday from Ontario to Alberta. The home was referred to me by another breeder that I know. The home had purchased 5 Puppies from that breeder over the course of 30 years. The home had shown the dogs she had, titling them in various venues (conformation, performance and temperament). The breeder who referred the home to me used to live in Alberta (now lives in Ontario), had been to the home in question a number of times, and thoroughly knows this person. With a recommendation like that, and history between these people, it sure made me consider the home and finally consent to send a puppy.
The only other time I shipped a puppy was from Ontario to Newfoundland, again on a referral from someone who knew both of us, and the lady from Newfoundland did fly in to meet us and the dogs, too.
Obviously, the above scenarios are vastly different from those that routinely and continuously ship Puppies off to people they know next to nothing about.
You just can't paint every situation with the same brush. |

I realize there are those that do ship under THOSE kinds of circumstances but that is not what JQP is dealing with.
unfortunately it is hard enough getting the average person to understand that there are serious dangers buying off the net & that most breeders are not reputable responsible breeders as you are, I see no reason to confuse them more by telling them of very special circumstances that an RB might ship.
people see what they want to see & out of that they will only see that RB's do ship - so it must be ok for that 6 week old Chihuahua to be shipped!!! |

those link you gave me, the papillon isnt even a puppy... 2 years and 2 months isnt what im looking for
and for the post above me, i thought Puppies under 8 weeks cant be sold or shipped
and do you think this seller is trustworthy? Hello again! Airlines will not ship a puppy if the temperature is below 45 degrees or above a certain degree, I think 90. At this time of year, I have played a real dodge game finding flights where the puppy will take off and land inside those parameters. I have shipped in the middle of the winter to Maine, and even Canda once. The problem is if I cannot find a non-stop flight. If the temperature is okay here, but they have to take off from say Denver, and the temp. there is under 45, then they have to stay grounded until it is warm enough to go on. Right now, I would not have trouble shipping from this end, because the temperature is usually above 45 at some point during the day. However, I have not checked into non-stop flights to LAX. In any case, they won't be ready until Christmas week, and that is too far out to predict the air temperature. I ship out of Eppley in Omaha. I can keep you posted, or please feel free to look closer where there aren't all these variables. Good luck,

Please do not list contact info for breeders, it is against forum rules.
I did, however, check the breeder you posted and I would in NO WAY consider her to be reputable. I have viewed other listings by this breeder and her "beloved family pet" has been bred twice and now needs a new home. This Dog happens to be the mother of the pup you are interested in. How can she advertise this Dog for sale when the current litter is only 2.5 weeks old? How do you rehome a "beloved pet" so easily (there is more than the single female needing a new home)? I am quite sure she will be replaced with another who will be bred and rehomed.
She states her "girls" will not do well in a puppy mill and she won't sell to that kind of breeder.
She obviously has no intention of spaying her before she is rehomed which I find rather infuriating.
Something else that infuriates me is that this female is only 2 years old and has had her second litter? That means she was bred for the first time at just over a year old, Appalling! |

I hate to hear that you lost money on that but better $9 than $900 only to find out you were sold a sick puppy. |

but its like throwing money away, its like you register for a magazine, but not getting any magazine. anyways back to the topic, can you find me a breeder that have papillon for sale that's less than 700$(including shipping) and is trustable. preferably the one that you have bought from. |

What quality pup do you think you would get at that price, which minus shipping would be around $450.00??
You have been told there are many Paps available in your state, but you refuse to do your own research to find one?? You can search the AKC site, Petfinder or puppyfind to name a few.
I don't understand your unwillingness to look in your own state or surrounding states and drive to pick up?? Unless you are just playing. |

OK, here goes. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!
I don't know what paps normally run from an RB but it seems that price is more important to you than finding a well bred pup.
At this point I would suggest that you find a nice stuffed animal while you research the breed, save a few more dollars and find a reputable breeder. |

You have been looking for the past month?
It took me over a year to find my first lab pup and the second took 8 months to find. My third lab was from the same breeder my second lab came from and I waited almost 2 years to get him. |
