text Ok this is a long story i was looking on kentucky classifieds one night and seen that someone had placed an ad for a teacup yorkie so i emailed the person. She emailed me back and told me that all she wanted for it was 80.00 cause she just wanted to adopt it out.Well i sent her 80.00 western union (stupid me) Ok it gets worse, then a couple of days later she emails me and tells me she needs 100.00 for insurance for the Dog well i send (yes i know) Then a couple more days later she says she needs 250.00 because the crate that she sent the Dog in wasnt passable so my husband is in iraq he currently deployed for a year sent 250.00 to this supposive airlines he said he talked to the guy at the airlines and everything but i dont think i will be getting my Dog he sent the money cause he got tired of hearing my mouth of how i wanted a Dog and now we are out $430.00 unless she sends the Dog and i am not verifying the FBI cause it wont my own stupid fault its not like their going to do anything anyways..

Sorry you were taken. You can look for a yorkie in one of the hundreds of yorkie rescues around the country. Someone is waiting to love you.

Your first clue should have been Cameroon! Your second clue was T-cup yorkie - there is no such thing.

Reputable breeders do not sell dogs over the internet & as suggested - go to a rescue.

Since you are obviously young, I would guess you are either working or have small kids or perhaps both. In either event a yorkie & especially a puppy are not your best choice. Please educate yourself before getting any pet so it doesn't wind up another statistic.

also, I would like to add on a side note. This woman has just poured out this awful story of what has happened to her, you dont have to chastise her for assuming she didnt know how to take care of this ficticious puppy she was about to buy!@! Talking about kicking someone when theyre down. Again to the orig. poster shawnda Id love to speak to u and share info, maybe we can do something to help catch this guy. And my other Dog is a rescue, they are wonderful dogs =)

It tickles me that I see this same exact post every other day. If it's from another country, leave it in the other country. There is no dog. It doesn't exist. There are plenty of breeders in the U.S. that you can go to. Plus, you can look at the shelters, humane societies, etc. Save the dogs that we have here. You can always look online for local breeders and go and check them out. Whatever you do, don't send money to ANYONE over seas!

I have been searching for a little yorkie puppy also. I contacted about 6 different classified ads and they all seemed pretty normal at first. Then as soon as I emailed the people about their Puppies. the emails I received got really strange really fast. I quickly found out the ads were not posted by people in KY, VA, MD, PA.. and so on. They were all actually from Cameroon, Africa. All of them had different emails and were actually the same type of scam. I noticed the pics of the Puppies were on breeders websites. They stole those pics and other people's writeups on real ads to make it seem that they had a cute puppy and could speak proper english. Then as soon as you talk to them, they dont make any sense and can hardly speak english. One person tried to get me to send a donation of a hundred dollars to an orphanage of starving africans and that they would send me the puppy for free. They must have been crazy to think I would be so stupid. Another person wanted to send the puppy on an airplane from Va to Md. I tried to tell him I would pick it up and he tried to tell me that I was creepy for wanting to know where he lived. I'm not stupid, the puppy didnt exist. I realized all of this was a scam from the very start. I will be finding my new puppy from a local breeder now. I dont even feel I can trust any ads on the internet now. I just feel bad for those who have trusted these sick people.

It's definitely a SCAM, after responding to an advertisement re: teacup yorkie....I guess the guy was stupid enough to say that he was from Cameroon. Very surprised, and he said I would only pay for the flight....another surprise. What was really dumb was that he said the flight would take 6-7 hours to Sacramento, California! After one email...never emailed him again. Actually, I should have told him to F@#@% off!

Don't be taken by these freaks...if they're inexpensive, it's too good to be true. Not unless it's local and you visit the owner.

Thanks, Rose

you can see in the attachment below hopping you will
love it.she weights 7.5ibs and it is espected to be
5.5ibs at full growth.the reason why i am giving her
out for adoption is because working hours are too much
for me and it gives me no time to take care of her and
also the
weather and climate here is not good for her living

Oh my word! definately a scam!! I recieved this exact e-mail today:
"HELLO
THANKS FOR THE MAIL AND FOR YOUR INTEREST TOWARDS MY DARLING.SHE IS A FEMALE WELL TAME AND TRAINED IN THE USDA STANDARD.TO BEGIN I WILL START BY ASKING YOU SOME QUESTIONS.
-ARE YOU A BREEDER?
-DO YOU HAVE KIDS?
-ARE YOU SURE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF MY DARLING?
THEN HERE ARE MY REASONS FOR GIVING HER OUT FOR ADOPTION.I AM FROM NEW MEXICO AND I WORK WITH THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION(W.H.O).SO THEY SENT US AS A TEAM TO CAMEROON(WEST AFRICAN) TO ERADICATE THE MALARIA PARASITE THAT IS ATTACKING PREGNANT WOMEN.SO I WISH TO GIVE MY BABY OUT BECAUSE THE WEATHER HERE IN CAMEROON IS SUITABLE FOR HER.
SECONDLY,I WORK 6 DAYS PER WEEK AND I HAVE ONLY SUNDAY TO TAKE CARE OF MY BABY AND ON THAT SUNDAY I HAVE TO HAVE SOME REST.SO YOU SEE I HAVE NO TIME TO TAKE CARE OF MY BABY AND SO THIS TELS WHY I I WANT TO GIVE HER FOR ADOPTION TO SOMEONE BACK IN THE U.S.A WHO CAN TAKE GREAT CARE OF HER AND THIS WILL ALSO
HELP REDUCE THE WORK ON ME.
SO IF INTERESTED GET BACK TO ME WITH ALL THE ASSURANCE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE MY BABY THE LOVE AND CARE THAT SHE WILL EVER NEED FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE.
THANKS"

SO far no request for money but I have told her I want it so we'll see. I'll keep posting her replies. I was sooo excited about this puppy Nina. ANd now its juts a BIG disappointment. I cant believe poeple do these things. Is there no way to catch these disgusting people?

I don't know if there's any real way to stop them. I have been emailing a person just to play with her head. As soon as I saw the ad on Craigslist I knew it was a scam so I tried to turn it around on her but it didn't work, she's just getting upset. I told her that in order to prove she wasn't a scam, she should send me the puppy (I know there is no puppy) and then when it gets here I will give her $3000. She still didn't take the bait. Anyone who really has the puppy would go for that! Not that I even have the money but hey, she doesn't have the puppy.

It's frustrating to see these people not being stopped, just like the money scam from Nigeria. Like someone said above, never send money to another country! Besides, I wouldn't buy a Dog I had never met.

My mom received a email recently from a gentleman that claimed he googled and found her email address on line and was offering her a tea cup yorkie for shipping fees only.. well he said western union or another cash sending place but the info she was to put up on money transfer came back as a address to a payless shoe source store in mass. where he told my mom in the email he was staying at doing missionary work .. but I am glad my sister and I looked into it before my mom was taken for 250.. for the shipping fee..@the pple who would try and scam my mom
