There were many reports of problems with various Hartz products. I know they pulled their flea spray a couple years ago because of it.
Re the Advantix - I have read that that isn't true but I do no that it has been linked to seizures & glaucoma in dogs. |

I never used it, it was really cheap and I had heard things like it would make your Dog sick, especially small dogs. Thats just what ive heard. They could just sell up rat poison and get it over with |

I would have to say yes to boycot Hartz products. I have a landsser newfoundland puppy 2 1/2 months old and gave her a bath with Hartz flea shampoo. Soon I sytarted to notice little pimples on her belly so doing research I found this was pretty normal. Little did I know anything about the Hartz products as I too used them before with no problem.
Then when I took my puppy to the vet thinking that she had a few pimples it turned out to be a staph infection caused by the shampoo I bathed her in. NEVER again willI use their products, even if it is "readily available!" |
