Never get Puppies from Africa or Camroon or London. They are probably Scammers. Alot of people have been ordering Puppies from these places pay the money and never see the pup. Unless he is willing to go through an escrow service such as escrow.com don't fall for it. Read the posts on puppie scams. Be so very careful. |

Is there a specific reason why you're dealing with anyone from Cameroon? You would be better served to look for a reputable maltese breeder or rescue within driving distance of your home. It's been the experience of many unfortunate people that dealings with anyone from Cameroon, Nigeria, etc., are scams. If you reside in the U.S. there is absolutely no reason to expect that a puppy would do well on a long flight. Buy American, do your research, and good luck! |

I live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We have only one rescue/shelter who usually dont have pure bred dogs. They have mix bred dogs who are big, nothing in the toy size. there are some backyard breeders here but i have yet to find someone who breeds maltese pups. The backyards breeders only produce sick and poor quality pets. Then we have the pet shops who rip you off. A maltese would cost (Us Dollars) somewhere betwwen $2500-$3000. and you dont know which breeder, show or pet quality, pedigree etc in not provided. Thats why I searched on the internet and Found the prices these people were charging i could afford. they even afford to ship the pup to my home address. but when I read some post about transferring money using western union and the scams that have taken place i got weary. Even after i googled these names, I dint come across anything suspicious. SO thats why I got attracted to buying online.

Just because you can't find anything about them on the web doesn't mean their good. They could be using false names. We hear tons of sad stories of people who have gotten ripped off in just this way. |

ALL the ads from Nigeria and Cameroon are scams.. RUN! I dont know how much a well bred yorkie from a responsible breeder costs but I can tell you they cost more than what these scammers are advertising. Dont believe us, google NIGERIAN SCAMS. They have been scamming people for years. Dont be a victim |

And just because you googled someone name and didnt find anything bad doesnt mean that they are a good person to buy from
(for all you know, they may not even exist) Did you speak to someone on the phone?
Why would they sell a Dog overseas? |

Exactly. The scammers use a gazillion different names and email addys.. I really dont know how they keep up with their scamming business. On another forum someone posted they had an ad looking for a Boxer puppy. They got the typical scammers email(misspelled words, bad sentence structure etc.) and when asked to see a picture, the scammer sent a picture of a stuffed toy boxer. lol
The following link was also posted on the same thread.. This is too funny.

I know I do not knwo the whole story, but... why do ppl make everything sooo complicated! Unless you are breeding yourself or showing why not go to your closest shelter and adopt a little mixed? They need it. You would pay wayyy less and you could drive overto get it. Again i do not know your situation, but think of the little puppy faces in the pound. |

DO NOT buy Puppies online from anyone unless you know them and DEFINITELY DO NOT BUY FROM SOMEONE IN CAMEROON.
I was just scammed last week out of 400. It was a really intricate scam with confirmation emails from fake Air France and DHL email addresses...the buy claimed to be a phD named Dr. Suh Elvis Ngwa. It is all a fraud.
Please don't try to buy any Puppies online. Contact a local breeder and make sure you are getting what you paid for!!text |

Can you buy a puppy from overseas with out all the quarentine problems. Some countries make you show a lot of things to bring an animal in. You might want to check into it. Also can you vacation somewhere to go find a good breeder you can meet and bring your pup home that way. Maybe go see Disney in Flordia and research before hand a good breeder there where you can buy a puppy and bring it home with you. |

and with all this...
i told the seller that i was hesitant about shipping the puppy and he would reply several times, comforting me, telling me that they take good care of the puppy.
the french airways did contact me. i sent 200 dollars through western union. they asked for another 350 for insurance. luckily, i did not have the fund for the 350 and couldnt pay it through western union. i told them i was having problems sending the money. and they told me to continue trying. so i did. and then they stopped contacting me even through my frustration. and because they're "AGENCY WAS LOCATED IN CAMEROON" they did not leave me a phone number to contact them. in my frustration, i cancelled the 200 dollar transaction. the next morning, they called me to tell me that they will take care of the insurance, but i had cancelled my payment so they couldnt ship my puppy. so they told me to pay it again, but i refused because i was not happy with the service and i lost 27 dollars in fees to western union. so they lowered the amount to 150. and i paid it. they kept calling me, updating me on my puppy. and an hour before the puppy would have gotten on the flight, they e-mailed me to tell me. 10 minutes before the flight, they called me to let me know. and then i feared being scammed and googled it. found out it was all a scam. i called western union and talked to the fraud services, and they refunded all my money, including fees.
an hour later, french airways calls me to yell at me about canceling the transaction, telling me i wasnt good enough for the puppy. they said the puppy was on the flight and they would make the puppy go back home. and i would not have a puppy. but i still have all my money. |

i read about some people only losing the wiring fee... but if you talk to the fraud service people and file a fraud report, they will give your money back, including fees.
i know i am told its a scam, but the guy yelled at me telling me i wasnt good enough for the puppy!!! thats not very nice. |

I encountered the Cameroon scammers on Craigslist this weekend offering a free maltese puppy but then asking me to send money for airfare. Below is my email correspondance with him. Once I told him he'd been flagged, didn't hear from him again nor did I see any other posts from him appear. I continue to be on the lookout. -Jamie

"K, Jamie" wrote: I thought you said in your first ad that her name was Daisy....Did you change her name?!? To be honest, it kind of concerns me that you will be shipping her such a far distance, as I am in the DC area. I think it would be better to find someone near where you are to take her. I don't not mean to interfere but I have a maltese around the same age as yours and that kind of travel (alone) would be very traumatic on this particular breed, especially so young. Please consider my suggestion.

Hello Jamie, She is 13 weeks of age. perfect health wise and will be coming along with a vet supervision and a year health guarantee certificate.I am currently in Cameroon on studies and will be shipping her from here.My reason giving Tracy up for adoption is due to the fact that i am so busy with my courses that i hardly find time for myself and little Tracy,so decided to give Tracy out for adoption into a family where she will be given the love and care Tracy deserves and has not had of recent with me,that is why my priority is not the asking price but a nice home for her.She is for free adoption, what you will need to do is pay only for her shipping over to you,Contact back for more inquiries. Thanks while waiting to read from you. Cyrille.
