Has anyone heard of this breed? The dog's coat is brown with a hint of green. Very beautiful. The breeder told me the name was a Grass Lab, so far I have had n luck finding this breed. Does anyone know the name of this breed? |

first you say the breeder told you what it was & then you ask if anyone knows what the breed is, so I'm a little confused as to what you really want.
there is no such thing. the "breeder" is lying. stay away from this person |

i will assume you are speaking of a chocolate lab?? something is wrong or missing here?? since there is a question of what is actually going on with this green grass thing...rather than say the breeder is lying or searching for answers, why not call them and ask them what exactly they are talking about...what did they mean by grass lab?? i would have to think this is a slang term used in this matter, but, i , for one, would love to know more about this...before i pass judgment..green tint...sounds pretty...
i have actually seen a pink chihuahua..and i do mean pink...beautiful!!!!! actually fawn, with a georgous pink overtone...and we all agreed, it was pink!!!!! |

In 2005 a Golden Retriever had a litter of pups and one was green. The breeder was baffled. They say it was caused from the placenta and amniotic fluid. I guess it could have happened again, but this time the 'breeder' is trying to use it as a money maker. |

if that is the case, I can't imagine it being a healthy dog.
did it mention what happened to the puppy? did anyone follow it? |

Apparently vets said it was from the placenta and the color failed to rub off the pups fur. And it was a rarity but definately possible. The puppy was healthy and rooted around with it's litter mates just the same as if it were blonde. I haven't found an update. I guess they named the puppy Wasabi! I thought that was cute. |

I breed labs and have never seen or heard of a green lab. If it is from the fluid then it should wash off. Is the pup AKC? If so I would check to make sure there wasn't some kind of in-breeding. Again ask the breeder for an explaination. It sounds weird to me. |
