I have already said this before but I will say it again. I have to do a paper on the orgin of terreirs for school. And I mean every single last one of this breed. I have no idea what site to go on. Someone reccomended Google but that did not give me the informartion I wanted. This project is not due until the week after next but I want to get an early start. So again any reccomendations? |

Go to the library and find books on terriers and you will get lots of info. |

Go to the AKC site.
Click on the heading Breeds.
Click on Breeds by group.
Click on Terrier.
27 are listed.
Click the terrier you want to start with.
On the left you can click on History.
You will do this on every breed.
Get info from AKC on origin. By following these steps on all 27, you will have plenty of info.

There are an awful lot of terrier breeds. Are you sure you have to do a report on "every last one"? That will be a long report. I agree you should start by checking the AKC site. You should also check out the UKC site. I'm not sure about AKC but I know UKC gives a brief history on each breed. Make a list of the terrier breeds on both sites so you can google each one and gather information from the various breeder sites. Most usually have descriptions of what their dogs do as far as what they hunt and what kind of temperaments, sizes, coat types, energy levels, etc. they have. Good luck with the report. It is a nice topic for a report. I always got stuck with reports on things I had no interest in. |

Becuase my parent does not know a thing about dogs or any other animal to be excact and my other parent is livning in texas and has no clue about this either. |

Yes. It is a final report and it makes up most of my year grade. Don't you love high school? |

But seriuosly high school stinks. When you think that high school will be the most greatest years of your life it ends up being the worst. I hate to see what college looks like. |

hs can be the best years of your life.you have to make the most of it.i've been out 30 yrs but would go back in a heart beat if i could go back knowing what i know now.college is a blast some of the most lasting friends i mad were in college. good luck |

That's not true. Professors want you to succeed, they just won't follow their students around saying 'where is your paper, you better study etc' They leave the decision up to you, if oyu don't hand in a paper its not their problem, its yours. If you want to pass you will, and they are there to help you along your way. |

 they won't follow you around.they figure if your paying that much money to go to college you at least would be interested enough to go to class. |

College is what you make of it. Your paying for it so it normally means more to you. High school is not the greatest time in your life. I hate it when people tell kids that. I always feel bad for people who say it, after all if that was the best time of your life what the heck are you doing with your life now? Your an adult now people if life is that bad change it. But I digress... Take heart like you 90% of people think high school sucks. The good thing is its only 4 years of your life. I wouldn't go back to high school if someone paid me. I was a popular cheerleader,track star,captain of the debate team (trying to prove not all cheerleaders are dumb) and many other clubs. Its still sucked. In high school you have to deal with hundreds of kids having mood swings and hormonal issues daily all the while having them yourself. Its all about drama and who's doing what to whom.
The best time in your life will be when your an adult and your bills are paid, the work day is over and you are spending time doing what you want to do. |

You are right. Espcailly when I got hit in the head with five harry potter books because unlike some people in my school I actually do pick up a book. And last month three people got caught burning weed in the school. Who would be that dumb? |

Oh and before I forget, because I do have the tendency to, Thank you for all of your responses. I am now at the orgin of Jack Russels. My paper si ten pages long and that si just two I have covered so far. This is going to take forever. |
