Just this week I learned that an older handler couple I know are ill. Husband had a heart attack and now the wife has cancer.
Then I get news that one of my friend's Champion males had to be put down to liver cancer at 7 years.
Now, I was going to go to Chicago to breed my yorkie with a woman's Ch. I have been trying to meet up with her since the last heat we skipped in November, and she had a stroke last week.
Three weeks ago, my mother's old 4H leader became paralyzed in a horse riding accident at age 70.
My uncle who has been battling skin cancer now has hospice in, and they are no longer treating him.
Just a lot of shockingly bad news this spring.

OMG, 2008 is definitely a bad year thus far. My grandmother passed away after her liver failed, then my grandfather died from cancer. My father-in-law had his gallbladder removed, then had appedicitis and his appendix removed, then his liver was/is full of egg sized cysts, then his lungs collapsed and are full of fluid (he actually died and was revived) Then my husbands grandmother had a massive heart attack, my great uncle had a heart attack and died, my great aunt had brain surgery, my aunts' friends' dad died in a plane crash. My 6 year old brother has to go for surgery in June, my one younger sister has to go for a scope in her stomach. This has all been since beginning of March. Its a lot to take in, I feel for anyone that has 'a lot on their plate'. Just try to remember that in such turmoil, God is on our side. |

I am very sorry to hear of all these things. It has been a very difficult time for so many people for so many different reasons. Keeping your chin up is easier said than done. But do keep it up. |

I agree with you NatrualDane. My cousin passed away this year and so did my uncle. My sister's asthma got worse and we are doing all we can to get her the proper medicine she needs and prices are high these days. 2008 has been a bad year. Hope next year goes better. |
