ok ,now i don't mean to sound like a pain but here goes i'm trying to keep her strictly raw.my dad came home with "mother hubbard" treats.he said he found it in a totally organic/holistic store (cutters mill). has anybody ever heard of these? nd-would giving a non raw treat hurt her in trying to keep her this way? |

I think those are pretty good, the whole reason for me doing raw (well one of them) is to avoid not knowing whats in the kibbles and the grains. Having giant breed dogs I have to worry about the fementing and swelling of grains in the stomach but nothing that a treat is going to cause. I keep a holistic kibble out for the dogs as a chip type food because its not good for danes to have an empty stomach, and Im not going to keep a cold buffet of raw meat out for them, but considering a 50lb bag will last me almost 2 weeks having 8 dogs, they really dont hardly touch it. Now of course free feeding doesnt really work for everyone. |
