Does anyone know if it is bad for my 8 month old puppy to eat rabbit poop??? It's so gross but we have so many rabbits that run through my yard, I can't keep her away. Any thoughts? |

my pup would constantly eat rabbit poop.my vet said that was proably the reason she got giardia.what cured her of it was i carried a little water pistol with me and every time she went to eat the poop i gave her a little squirt.it took a little time but it worked |

I was recently talking with one of my students whos sister works with wildlife she told me for some reason the deer and rabbit poop tastes a little sweeter then other animals poop to dogs I dunno how true this is why dogs like to eat poop in the frist place who knows ive read cats don;t fully digest their food so sometimes there poop still smells like food, but who knows maybe it just tastes good, I would try to supervise your Dog as much as possible just in case, who knows what the rabbits have gotten into so for health reasons just keep and eye on the Dog so s/he dose not get sick |
