my Dog is a irish staff igot her when she was a puppy i had all her injections now she is 13 months old , when she was 11 months she had her period , now she is having one again and is not her bubbly self ,is this normal or is there something wrong im from the uk and need some advice from anyone please: |

Dogs go into heat every 6 months with the exception of a few breeds that do once a year. There isnt anyway that she should be having another heat, and most likely has gotten an infection from the last heat as its very common from the licking, and this is part of a discharge you are seeing.
I would not hesitate to take her to a vet if I was you, no matter how you look at it something isnt right.

yes get her to the vet ASAP, if it is a pyometra it is a crisis & they are often fatal.
get her apayed as soon as the vet will do it. that is normally done over here at 5 - 6 months before her first heat to help prevent cancer |
