HELLO. I HAVE A LAB WHO I THINK COULD BE PREGNANT. WHAT ARE THE SIGNS? THIS WAS TOTALLY UNPLANNED AND I HAVE NEVER OWNED A PREGNANT DOG. HER ABDOMEN IS HUGE, NIPPLES ENLARGED, AS WELL AS THE VULVA. SHE IS A SWEET DOG, AND JUST WANTS TO BE RUBBED ON. I KNOW SHE NEEDS A XRAY, BUT MY VET CANNOT DO IT TODAY. OPINIONS PLEASE. COULD I POST A PIC? |

The only way to know for sure is to go to your vet. My dads pom actually faked a pregnancy...gained weight, the whole bit. |

Was she with a male????? Yours, or was she running loose? Your Vet shouldn't so an xray if you intend to keep the Puppies. This is such a shame. |

this is not good...how did she become pregnant if she did?? and how was this unplanned?? do you know what calsification is??? i will tell you...if a Dog is not at least 50 days into her pregnancy..i think this was the magic number...anyway...an exray will not show the Puppies...their bones do not calcify?? until they are so many days old...im sure there are many suspicions due to the other pregnancy symptoms however...i have seen vets do exrays of pregnant dogs at certain ages even though they know about the time involved with calcification...they do it anyway...wonder why?????? |

Until you see a vet,let the Dog sleep, rest and DON`T bother her.Feed a little more food then usal. Not good.Do your neighbors own a un-netured dog??Is your Dog spayed??Because if she is spayed then thier is nothing to worry about.Just the fatness. |
