Quote beaglebrat: I didn't say IQ, but even if you were a brain surgeon, that doesn't mean that you have knowledge in all subjects, like dogs/pets.

Isn't that what is relevant when people are giving all these opinion...

You opened up a whole can of worms with your Hillary statement. That's funny I didn't see you as a Bush supporter. Hillary has all the qualifications that it would take. All the candidates go on smear campaigns against each other. I feel comfortable giving her my vote. It was a good 8 years when Clinton was in office, I don't care who was b****** him in his downtime!

Quote beaglebrat: If you have experience in grooming, showing, what ever, it would be great to know exactly what it is. If you are a pet owner with 1 Dog or 8 dogs, it would be great to know exactly what it is.

Not just...

Yes I most certainly can relay the experiences of others and will continue to do so as I see fit. I just saw a picture of a breeders wrapped Yorkie. It had about 7 wraps in 'em not the 20 or more I have seen in books. I just learned there are different ways of wrapping. The Dog looks well abled to roam and run free.

Thanks ND you also have balls of steel! I love those southern sayings. I actually envy where you live and would move there in a heart beat. Yes some day soon I'm getting out of this thing they call the MidWest.
You never mentioned if you were affected by the tornados? How close are you to Atlanta? Your houses in that part of the country have a lot of elegance and you can get more house for the buck, but sadly that might be changing.

Oh no, not Bush. Obama. I am a Social Worker at heart. The Clinton's were too conservative.

After hearing the current mentally President making speeches the last 7 years I don't know if I could handle her cackling and naggy nasally voice that she uses in her speeches.

Why can't she just talk in her normal voice?

average house in Atl is going to cost 350,000 these days. We stole our house that is 2,500 sq ft about on 5 acers for 113, its small be we are going to be adding on this summer maybe. the good thing is we bought into 65,000 in equity when we bought it which means jack in the housing market now.

I live near Athens Ga, Im directly east of Atl about 35 miles, though they hit the two towns next to me we did not experience anything but a good scare. The news doesnt cover small towns but my old town got the worst of it.

Yeah your 350,000 would be 750,000 or more here. I'm a big fan of House Hunters on TLC and they have spotlighted your little neck of the woods frequently, and I just love the style. Texas has some good steals but they are a bit to yeehaw for me, but ya never know.

M/F Female
Age 40
Married/single? Married happily
Kids/no kids Yes I have children
Animals at this time I have one fish a
Beta, one Dog Chihuahua, two birds Cockatiel, three turtles, Red eared sliders. I've had the pleasure of sharing my life with many other dogs and cats along the way.

Formal education Masters Degree from the University of Iowa
Occupation: I have resently become an ordained Pastor. I work part time paraprofessional in my community school. Active in PTO and many community outreach groups. Forum monitor for this and two other websites. Before moving last July, I owned a pet sitting service for 15 years. I've worked in rescue and shelters, both as employee and volunteer. I've seen the joy of a Dog finding a new family and the sorrow of a perfectly good Dog being put down because there was no home for it.

vet experience with animals? Growing up on a large hog and cattle farm there were many jobs my small hands could do. I've pulled pigs (for those of you who don't know that that means I assisted the birth of piglets stuck inside the sow), helped birth calfs, casterated pigs. I cut teeth and tails of three day old piglets. I've tended open sores on horses, cattle, dogs, rabbits and cats. I've administered many different types of medications to horses, cattle, hogs, dogs and cats. I've given more vaccinations that I can count.
Years later and in my business I was often called upon to give oral medications as well as subcutaneous shots to my clients pets. I'm sure there are other things I've done but can't remember at this time.
Training experience with animals I've worked closely with Dog trainers and behavioralists. First to train my own dogs and then to help my clients handle and train their dogs. I bred raised and showed English Bulldogs. I've been told many times I'm gifted when it comes to working with animals,as long as I can remember animals have been drawn to me and I to them. I've always felt blessed to be in the company of animals.

continued....

I worked in a grooming shop.
I own and have read many breed books and general Dog books.

Dog show experience-
Have you been to a Dog show? Many
Where/when? The Midwest When was I at my last Dog show? 2006 When is the last time I showed a dog? 1999
Have you had a Dog entered in a show? Yes
Have you shown a Dog in the ring? Yes
As I have said in the past no one person is smarter than the group is as a whole.
If I may add, as I go back and read this I realize that in all honesty these questions don't even scratch the surface of who I am or why I think I'm qualified to answer questions on this or any other forum.

Haha. Sorry but, you are wrong. I am actually a female and lakid is just a screen name. I am not going to tell you my real name because I have security issues. I do not even give my phone number to my friends.
