our heeler did that but we just say a good "NO" and walk away when she does it. It has worked for us. she does not do it very much now (she is still a puppy and we are still working on it) Is your Dog still getting enough attention? maybe he is trying to tell you to play with him? Good luck |

We play with him all the time, we play ball with him when we leave in the morning, when my husband comes home for lunch and when we both get home after work. My in-laws play with him all the time. The vet said he is 6 months old. He is part german shepard the other ?????. Thanks |

Nipping at the heels is part of the gene of some dogs, for example herding dogs nip the heels of the sheep to keep in line. Our Dog a Collie now 27 months did it. As said be firm when he does it. No will work but since it is in the gene it takes awhile. Good Luck
