Hi all, I have a problem with my dogs. They are always urinating and crapping everywhere they can in the house, and since i have three of them I dont know how to distinguish which did it or not. Even when we take them out for walks, they do not go bathroom but when they get back inside the first thing they do is run away from us, than use the bathroom hidden.

My main issue is that in raising them, I have always been fair to them. I dont hit them but I do yell at them when they do something bad and i praise them when they do something good. The only problem is I have a mother and sister who spoil them rediculously with food, treats and even when i yell at them, they hide under my moms arm and i get scolded. Is there anything i can do?

Your mother and sister need training first and then the three of you can focus on the dogs.

I cannot imagine a grown woman allowing a Dog to crap in her house yet your mother allows it from THREE?

Sparky my 9 week Boxer was doing that, no I just put him out ever 45 minutes forr about 20 min, its preety warm here in MD right now. I only let him have his food and water for about 20 minutes 3-4 times a day, and then he has to go back out on his leash/lead for about an hour, I find that with keeoing his food and water monitored he is doing much better with the house training. I hope everyone gives you great ideas like they have given me.

are you using a leash when you take them out? i know with 3 it will be more difficult but you would have better control over them.as much as you can take them to the same spot and let them get used to the idea that is where they go potty.try using the same words to them when getting them to go potty, then when they go make them think what they just did is the best thing in the world.they will get the idea that when they go potty they get praised(like you said you were doing) and they really like that.hope everything works out and good luck

I used to have the same problem. Then I started coming to this site for advice. They have given me great ideas. Have you ever thought of "doggy pads"?

The best way to train your dogs is separately, whether it be obedience or housetraining. At this point your dogs are a pack in their own and will feed off each other in a sense rather than listen to you.

That is a wonderful idea.
