Lakid...you argue and complain and disagree in spite of logic and law. I don't have to be polite to you and I refuse to agree with foolish advice that could cost some Dog its life. I was on topic in disagreeing with you and so were other people. You keep turning it off topic and trying to make a manners lesson out of it. You are also a terrible judge of other people's stress levels. This childish insistence of yours on how other people should be is truly getting old.

I do not complain. I know you disagree but you do need to be polite to get respect. I am not making you do anything. Did I force your hand to make your words? No. I am not trying to encourage anyone to break a law but please, just because I hoped that luck was on her side doesn't mean I wanted her to break the law. I was giving her some hope that evrything will work out in the end. Yes, I admit my advice can be foolish sometimes, and you were on topic in disagreeing but going off on me like that was really uncalled for. I do understand the law and logic of what you're saying but like I said before say nay to brutality. It solves no one's problems and only causes us to get off topic aand start a war. I may be bad a predicting stress levels but you only need to tell me what I am saying that is wrong and be done with it. And when you say it, say it politely. That way we won't have a WORLD WAR 3 right here on the Internet and in front of everybody on this web page.

Lakid, why do you continue to fuel the fire? Just let it be already. If you do not like the words of other members, simply ignore their replies. We have mods that are quite capable of keeping members in line and preventing World War III.....this is NOT your job at this time.

You are becoming quite bothersome by insisting we must all get along. It just doesn't happen that way in the real world and nothing you can do or say will change that.

Now what do you think about my stress level?

Alright, alright. You win. Now are you happy? Can we please stop this fight? I admitted that I was wrong and you are still badgering me. I said that I was sorry snd you are STILL talking to em about. I know sorry doesn't do anything but dang when people say that they were wrong that usually means that they give up. Like I am doing now. Yes I know that I can be a pain in the butt you have told me that about a dozen times but at least I am being responsible for my own actions and words. I also know that it is NOT my job to keep others in line. I am sorry about that to. And I aslo like to apologize to any other members of this forum that I have annoyed.

I have a nine month old puppy we resuced from a rescue fondation . Last week we found out she has displastic hips . We were at the specialist today to find out the cost .We were quoted $3600 - $4000 per hip . What do we do . There is no way we can afford that . We love her so much we can't put her down . But she lives in pain everday . If we get the surgery she has a good chance of living the next 15 years , pain free . If we don't then we will have to put her down soon . Why do vets have to charge so much !! Does anyone out there now where I could get some sort of fincial help . I live in Calgary Alberta Canada .

i am sorry and this is a very very sad situation. the price that was quoted you seems wayyyyyy!!!! out of line, however even so, it is very expensive.why not get as many estimates as you can and here in the states also. i am going to my vet tomorrow afternoon, i will get a general price quote and let you know tomorrow evening. if you cannot afford the surgery and you cannot get someone to do it out of pity, there are many natural options out there, there is a poster on here who knows a lot about natural remedies, also there are many things you can try from the health food store and they can help you with them. your other options are grim, however, dont do anything hasty at this time until all efforts are exausted. have you spoken with the rescue of which your Dog came from about this???

I am not familar with Canadas programs like I would be here in the US but if you have something like an spca there then I would call the director.

can the pup walk at all and does she fall when she tries? Does she wire walk with one back foot in front of the other?

Its really a tough call the surgery is very rough on a young pup and theres 50/50 chance that it can not work or come undone and yet you have more expence. I personally wouldnt put one of my dogs through it.
sometimes the kindest things we can do for our beloved pets is not allow them to suffer, even when its not the easiest thing for us.

Until you make the choice, I would have her on ester c 2500 mg and MSM msm can be found in horse supply places cheaper than you can find it for humans. Shes still growing and without knowing the grade of the displasia I cant offer you much more than what I have.
Rhymidil has many issues with long term effects in dogs but IM sure that she is on it if shes in pain, try and use the least amount to make her comfortable.

I am sorry for your problems. I do not nkow that much about Canada so are there placs where you think you can get finacial help? If not I know some places outside of Cnada that can assist you if you want me to tell you.
