Please help me, there was a short video article on a major news program within the last week or two about an older black woman forced to give up her Dog of seven years because she couldn't have her pet in her new home. Could anyone please point me to resources for this video article? It has been haunting me for days! THANK YOU! |

What city is the woman from? Are there any other details about the story that may help us find the article? |

I did an in-depth web-search using several search engines using woman forced to give up Dog cannot keep in new apartment which yielded alot of results in various search word combinations but not what I needed.
Anyway, I did a simpler search today starting with ABC News and just 'dog' as the search term. After scrolling through several results, I came across a story about 'foreclosure' pets, i.e. pets left behind by former home owners which included a paragraph about PAWS and a woman forced to give up her Dog as her new apartment doesn't allow pets.
I contacted PAWS in Chicago. The woman's name is Sylvia Wise who was forced to give up her dog, Missy, to PAWS for adoption. Missy had been Sylvia's sole companion for seven years, and it was a heart-wrenching decision for her to have to give up Missy.
