I got my Boxer 3 days ago (Sparky) and he is great, training well, sweet, loves the kids, and such a lover. He is 8 weeks old. I am wondering if all is norm with him because we haven't heard him bark yet. He does cry when I leave him. I haven't left him at home alone yet. Do puppy's not bark right away? Is he just gettng used to his new home? Thanks Hope you all can help! Stacey |

I have 2 boxers, one male & one female, neither are really big barkers. They only bark when they need to. Maybe your baby hasn't had a need to bark yet! |

Does he look when someone claps their hands or makes a strange noise? If the answer is yes, he'll be fine and he's trying to figure out whats going on and who's in charge. He'll find his voice. :) IF the answer is no then you need to take him to the vet and have his hearing tested. |

it took my little girl almost 1 month of my having her at home before she really barked.she would give little ruffs but very low.but boy does she bark now he may just be trying to find his voice or maybe he has nothing to say.but ,yes by all means if he doesn't respond to a noise or clapping ,get his hearing tested.hope everything is ok |

Wow thanks everyone, he definatly looks and jumps when the kids make loud noises and when I tell him to stop it he looks at me cowers and comes over to me with his head down. This morning he slept in my bed and when my alarm was going off and I didn't get up right away he was howling. LOL, maybe that was his bark! LOL Ps. He is doing great with house breaking to I have had other breeds that just would break, but 3 days and no accidents in the house YEAH! |
