About a month ago i adopted what we consider to be a full bred Chihuahua from a small Dog rescue center. I was told he was 2 years old. I took him to the vet and to my dismay found out he was really 8 years old has a heart murmur and arthritis. Well I tried to contact the people i adopted him from and have not recieved a response my BIG concern is that he DOESN'T eat. We've tried the dry food w/ grave. We've tried to get him to eat some people food. I've tried canned food. Nothing. I don't know what else to do. If anyone has any suggestions or advice i'd greatly appreciate it! |

You should really discuss this with a vet, with age it could be any number of things. |

baby food, boiled, rinsed hamburger or white chicken mixed with cooked rice, pastas, noodles. low salt chicken soup, boiled sweet or white potatoes, cottage cheese, yogurt.
it is common for chi's to have bad teeth, did the vet say he needs a dental? it could be painful for him to chew.
what did the vet suggest for the arthritis?
heart murmurs are often nothing to worry about |
