Something comes out from the mouth of dachshund, a white slimy thing. He throws that up almost everyday. What do you think is it? Is it bad? Thanks. :)

well without a little more info it would be hard to say.maybe it is something he is eating and not able to digest.are you in part of the country where there is snow?i believe dogs have a problem when they eat extreme cold things,my cocker spaniel used to eat snow all of the time and he would throw it up.but you should also keep an eye on him ,if he is listless, sleeps alot isn't eating his food it could be something else.depending on how long this has been going on he may be sick.by all means have him checked out.hope everything goes well and he is not seriously sick.

I'm from the Philippines. This past few days, the weather here changes every now and then. Sometimes it's rainy and sometimes, the sun is as high as the sky. Can that be a reason for that?

My dashchund threw up when she was about 4 months old right after we brought her home and it was mucousy like you described, I thought it was a lining in her stomach. I called my vet, even she didn't have a definite answer. My dashchund had parvo when she was a pup and survived it, my guess is either your Dog is sick and should see a vet or she choked on something.

White and slimy sounds like mucous. Is he throwing it up or coughing it up? What are you feeding him? How old is he? Is he UTD on vaccinations? Are there any other symptoms such as runny eyes/nose, loose stools, lethargy, loss of appetite?

Do you mean an actual slimy "thing" or do you mean mucous? Some worms cause a Dog to cough and vomit them out. They look a bit like spaghetti when they come up.

I know, I just used it as an example because your Dog could be very sick.

Have you taken him to the vet? You should get that checked out and make sure that you can't catch it.
