Try eating some of the rabbit poop yourself and see if you get sick this will tell you why |

I seriously doubt eating rabbit poop made your Dog sick. dogs eat it all the time. |

Actually an AKC official told me that chickens and rabbit feces often contain Coccidia that dogs can get from their poo.
OP didn't say what type of 'sick' the Dog was, but if it is diarrhea, you may want to take in a fecal sample and have it tested. |

Actually coccidia can be transmitted in contaminated food/water/dirt, through pests like roaches/flies/mice and expecially from the feces of affected dogs. Since the op did not make any indication that the Dog was a young pup and coccidia is mostly a problem in pups under 6 months old or with a suppressed immune system I don't think the rabbit poop would cause a problem. If the Boxer is a pup then it is possible. |

The whole breed of Boxers are considered to be an 'immuno-suppressed' breed. They are prone to a lot of things over running their systems and causing things like diarrhea. |

That was something I didn't know. I'm always learning things on this type of site. In that case it is very possible the rabbit poop caused it. |

my Dog was having the same problem.she ended up getting giardia from it.the little rabbit poops looke like some of the kibble i was giving her i think that's why she was doing it.give your Dog a firm no when she tries to eat it if you can.but by all means take her to a vet if she continues to have diarrhea. |
