CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK? I REPLIED TO AN CLASSIFIED AD FOR FREE TEACUP YORKIES THAT WERE SUPPOSE TO BE GIVEN UP FOR ADOPTION FROM A VOLUNTEER GROUP. ALL I WAS TO PAY FOR WAS THE SHIPPING FEES ($90.) ME BEING NIEVE, I ANSWERED THE QUESTIONS THIS PERSON ASKED AND THEY SENT ME PICTS OF THE Puppies. I WESTERN UNIONED MY MONEY TO THIS PERSON IN CAMEROON. A DAY LATER I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM A LEGITIMATE AIRPORT STATING THE CRATES FOR SHIPPING DO NOT COMPLY WITH THEIR CODES. I PAID ADDITIONAL MONEY ($300) TO RENT THE CRATE THINKING I WOULD GET THE Puppies AND GET MY MONEY BACK UPON ARRIVAL. THE NEXT DAY I REC'V ANOTHER EMAIL FROM THE SAME AIRPORT STATING THEY COULD NOT SEND WITHOUT OWNERSHIP CHANGED AND I HAD TO PAY $250 FOR THAT BEFORE THEY CAN BE SHIPPED. SO I SENT AGAIN. IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS NOW AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY Puppies OR MY MONEY. I GOT THE PHONE NUMBER FROM THE SELLER AND HAVE BEEN TALKING WITH HER FOR THE LAST 2DAYS. I WAS TOLD THAT NOW THE Puppies ARE SICK AND HAVE BEEN SENT TO THE VET. THEY WANT $200 BEFORE THEY CAN SHIP OUT MY Puppies. I HAVE JUST NOW READ ABOUT THESE SCAMS. IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO? I STILL TALK WITH THIS PERSON EVERYDAY WITH THE HOPES THAT I AM GETTING THESE Puppies AND MY MONEY BACK FOR MY KIDS. |

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. However, it was naive on your part to think someone wouldn't be able to give a teacup yorkie away locally if they had to.
Is the woman you talk to on the phone the one asking you for another $200? She is the one scamming you and I'm not sure what you can do about it. By all means keep that number and try and trace it. Let us know what happens. |

You are just another in a long line of people who have been scammed out of money. I'm sorry this happend to you. Don't even think about sending another dime. There never were any Puppies to have in the first place. |

Oh my goodness! I was just involved in that myself. Thank God that I didn't actually send any money! I was going to, but I just felt really rushed and such! At first it seemed legitimate...but then they seemed pushy! I also thought that I was doing "business" with a woman....But I demanded that someone actually call me....it was a man!?!? He even went as far as to say God bless as he got off of the phone! Oh well.....

okay i don't get how everyone is so stupid as to think that they can get a free puppy. also why would you ever want to buy one from another country??? i know a lot of people buy them over the internet but for me i have to be able to see the Dog and hold it before i buy one. i am soooo sick of hearing about people getting scammed, your not gonna get your money back and it's your own fault for being so naive. |

 free t cup yorkie ????? allrighty then...!! well im not sure what one has to do in order to warn about these scams other than go door to door...the warnings are EVERYWHERE!!! how could you be so dumb as to send money to all places but cameroon?? come on?? you are not getting anything back...today of ever...and there is absolutely NO reason to talk to the police as the cameroon govt will not do a thing about this...hundreds of thousands of nieve people have had this happen to them...and..we all can rack up another hoo haw for western union..they got paid here and got paid there...the scammer got paid....what did you get?? western union has got to know that 99.9% of the money sent to nigeria is all about scams...yet..they still send it....i wish more than anything that western union would be responsible for every dime they have sent over there...the moral of this story still is....this is what happens when you try to get something for nothing.... |

Yeah Western Union is really enjoying this scam...maybe some victims need to start a class action lawsuit if one hasn't already been filed. |

 yes..just exactly how many complaints do you think they have had?? they are enjoying the fees here and the fees there...while knowing full well that the moneys sent are going to scams...if you go to google and research nigerian scams..you would be amazed at what you will see...i so wish cnn would do an investigation of just how much money is involved here..how much has been wired to cameroon over the past year or two..they should be liable for every dime of it!!!! these scams have not only hit the websites..but also the newspapers in the larger cities all over this country...if western union would refuse to wire to nigeria..that would be all it takes to shut this operation down!!!!
just exactly who do you think is at the head of this operation???? |

hey im from scotland and i was almost scammed yesteday... the guy said he had a chow chow pup and lived in london. so i said i wud do pick it up and he said no no its easier for you if i deliver it. for 90 i could have it next day delivery. the puppy wasnt free, it was advertised as 450 then he sed he wud take 300 for it. it was all done thru email. then the next day i got a call from nigerian guy saying to go to post office and do a money gram and then they'll deliever my chow chow. so i spoke to my bf as id never even heard of a money gram and he called the guy and sussed it out straight away. the guy got really angry and aggressive even when he knew we had sussed him out and even today they are still emailing me saying that there is a 'puppy' waiting for to get. i also typed in the fone number they gave me for him into google and it came up with lots and lots of ads for puppys, cars u name it with the same no! never again willi try that haha... on a good note tho i now have a alaskan malamute that i have seen and held that is just down the road from me... :):)  |

i'm sorry you almost got ripped off, and yes it is rotten that people do this,most(not all) of the time anything too good to be true usually is.people take advantage of somebody ,like pt barnum said"there's a sucker born every minute.you might want to try and not post in text speak.alot of people can't understand it and if you are asking for help won't be able to respond. |
