I have a 5 year old yorkie "Teddy" and a 3 year old yorkie "Sammy" Teddy and Sammy get along well until Teddy get into a wild mood and attacks sam this occurs at least 3 times a day. We separate them in different rooms and 10 mins later we put them back together and its like nothing happens. Now i should say this Sam is bigger then teddy even tho the 2 year age gap. And fights back but teddy just doesnt stop. Should i see a vet about this, or has anyone had anything like this happen with them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are they both neutered? If not, you have two little guys there with a bunch of hormones butting heads. If they are neutered, even then it's not a guarantee. Some dogs are more dominant than others and sometimes there are power struggles. |

It would be good to have more information. Do the attacks come when Sammy gets to close to you or the food? Are the dogs fixed? |

if this is occurring 3 times a day - why are you putting them back together?
I agree it sounds like they are not neutered. that should be done yesterday but it may take awhile to see improvement.
keep in mind the hormones can stay in the system for up to 2 months after the surgery |

They both are neutered and it seems that every time Teddy attacks Sam when he gets near my mother is in the area of my mothers. Alot of the attacks happen on the bed when people are waking up. Teddy sleeps at the end of the bed and Sam sleeps any place he can find if its on the pillow or around my mom. Do you think seeing a vet about this is a smart idea. |

I think you need to get your thoughts collected about this.
first you say this happens at least 3 times through out the day. now you are saying it only happens when people are waking up.

No im saying most of the attacks happen on the bed but they still also happen in the kitchen when one of the family members go to pick up one of them. Or when we are sitting at the dinner table. And they are both sitting by my moms feet. The attacks happen in a lot of different spots sometimes for no apparent reason but alot of them are on the bed in the morning time. |

Mine play fight through out the day but I am hoping this is attributed to the fact they are a puppy and young adult and guessing it will lessen as they get older. It is usually just playing until occasionally one yelps. You just have to keep after them. I have kept one on a leash and I also use a bike horn and give a no command. You could also use a squirt gun. Consider more training if you can't get them to lay down on command, get off, down etc. |
