every state has a "law" to how many pets you can have. check your state laws so you won't get into trouble. in Hawaii we have two laws. one for a "breeder" and one for the "non-breeder". |

The problem is more of the type of care several animals can lack with the law, if your dogs are quiet, cats are kept up and you are clean then most of the time nothing is going to be said to you. Its when the animals go neglected that it then becomes an issue and thats why laws have been created. There are currently 35 animals living here granted over half are chickens but all are kept clean and well cared for, some people cant manage to care for one. |

that is absolutely not true. matter of fact I don't know of any STATES that have them. only towns or cities etc.
can you imagine a state law limiting you to 4 animals & you have a farm? |

states don't have specific laws.your better bet is to check with your local township, county etc.they will be the ones enforcing the laws. |

states do have specific laws pertaining to animals. most cruelty laws are state wide, Dog bites & rabies requirements are state wide.
municipalities usually cover barking etc & one does not know what the other has or doesn't have |

sue, i wasn't meaning that towards cruelty laws.i was meaning that towards amt of animals issue.although it might tie in together.i also think the local agencies would be the first to enter the picturein most cases.i'm sorry if i was misunderstood in my post i didn't mean to be. |
