Description of Puppy

On August 5, our beautiful litter of ivory/yellow lab puppies was born! The parents are our dogs, Shelby and Max. Shelby is actually the daughter of our older male, Magnum who is pictured with our ad.

Shelby has nine puppies, eight females and only one male. This little female is one of the lighter colored puppies. The litter ranges in color from very light ivory to a medium yellow. The puppies will be available around the end of September.

Our puppies are raised in the country on our family farm in Minnesota. Once they reach about 3 weeks old, we play with them daily; they love to be held. This helps them socialize and get used to being with people. When we wean them, we give them a blanket to sleep on which we divide into pieces before they go to their new homes. Each puppy takes a piece with them so they can have a familiar scent close by.

We worm our puppies 3 times to prevent parasites. They are vaccinated with the first set of puppy shots, and are seen by our vet for a "well-puppy check" before they are sold.

We can fly the puppies to new homes almost anywhere in the United States but we do need to watch the weather. The puppies can only "take off" and "land" at temps below 86 degrees and above 10 degrees F. The shipping cost averages about $250 for the flight and a $50 fee for the kennel to fly in and the USDA health certificate that is needed. The puppies fly in an airline approved kennel that they will be familiar with and can then sleep in for several weeks at their new home.
