Her name is Pepper, very friendly, high energy. She is 5.5 years old (approximately, we do not know for sure since she is a rescue, adopted as a puppy, she is neutered and chipped, but does not have documents confirming her breed, although all experts agree she is a Dutch Shepherd). Great with cats (lived with two of them all her adult life) and other dogs close to her size, but does not know her own strength with little dogs.

She knows her commands (sit, down, stay, come, heel). She does not dig or chew things up, but she may bark at squirrels when in the yard or if anyone comes to your door. When the person enters, though, she would be greeting them enthusiastically, if you let her know its ok. She is completely house broken, but has had a couple of accidents in the past, however, on rare occasion, and only when left inside for longer than 10 hours.
Pepper makes a great companion, will follow you anywhere you go and just would sit or lie by your feet. High energy component applies mainly to the outside, playing and greeting people (very, very friendly). Very rarely she may display a dislike for a person, especially if they wear a hat (may be, someone wearing a hat abused her in her stray days), but she has never bitten any human, nor wearing a hat changes her attitude towards anyone she knows :).
Pepper will make a great friend to an active person, since she loves to run, play and hike and is very eager to please. She will also make a great guard dog for a large property. She has not been exposed to young children enough, so I would not recommend her for adoption to anyone with young children.
