We have been showing and breeding since 1993 and have bred over 48 AKC home bred bench and field champions to date and many more getting ready to becoming champions. DP Basenjis breeding goals our temperament, health, and quality. We are not a backyard breeder or a puppy mill, our dogs are health tested and we REALLY do have champion lines, just not champions somewhere in the pedigree. Our dogs are registered with AKC (American Kennel Club), and not with some other registration for animals without provable pedigrees. Our Basenjis are loving, family companions, born, raised and live in our home. Outstanding examples of the breed - health and temperament a priority! Our basenjis have been tested for Fanconi Syndrome by the University of Missouri which has the first and only predictive test available for Fanconi Syndrome. We are members in good standing with AKC, and our National and local breed clubs.
