Why do you or your family want a dog?

I can't possibly imagine my life without dogs. In my adult life I have only been without at least one dog for 5 months.I have 2 english bulldogs,a male 10 and a female 5. I love this breed and love to cuddle and hold them but I find it harder to lift them as I get a bit older. I just retired and can't wait for a new baby to welcome to the family.(my dogs are fixed).
