Why do you or your family want a dog?

I want a second dog because my current American Eskimo, Baxter, gets very lonely and stressed when left alone. After doing some research I've found that in many cases having a second dog helps with with anxiety when the owner has to leave. I love my dog, he is the perfect breed and I don't think I could ever get a different kind.
