Why do you or your family want a dog?

I have always had pets--dogs, cats, guinea pigs. My last cat died about 4 years ago and I really miss having an animal in my space. This time around, I decided to get a dog and have done a great deal of research on the breed that would work best for me--the Toy Fox Terrier.
