Why do you or your family want a dog?

have had a Black Lab who is deceased and a recent adopted dog of 8 years old that is deceased. My thoughts are to have another dog and I'm drawn to a German Shepard because of their beauty and caring face. We have 3 cats and a puppy would be a loving addition to our family. We live on a large man made Lake for a dog to enjoy with us and on our Pontoon boat. My heart has a hole in it from my latest loss of Sophie. Not sure I'm ready but I need to find that out for myself. I have so much love to give and alot of patience.
