Why do you or your family want a dog?

For companionship and love. We have always had pets and right now we only have 1 cat and thought it would be a good time to introduce another dog into our family. Our last dog passed away 3 years ago. We are a fairly active family with lots of love to give and also have plenty of space for the dog to play and exercise in the back yard, and to live in the house with us.
