Why do you or your family want a dog?

I want a dog to play with and tend to my dog I had died about three years ago he was a chow chow mix and he was 20 in dog years I loved him very much but had to put him down when he got sick from old age,and I would love to have another puppy to make the night less lonely and the days more fun to walk and run.
