My wife and I have been married for a year. I am looking to get a dog for the household and for it to be a part of the family. I grew up with dogs that were part of the family. Its a very rewarding experience and love having animals around and am familiar with all the responsibility that goes with it. I am looking for a mini dachshund as a birthday present for my wife. She does not work and is going to devote many hours looking after her. I can't wait to spend time with the new addition after work and weekends.
