| Description: Maximus is a handsome Lab / Golden mix who is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and good with kids, others dogs and cats. He weighs about 70 pounds and was born in September of 2005. When he was a little over a year old, Maximus started having epileptic seizures, which are now easily controlled with relatively inexpensive medication. But his owner is now working full-time and is unable to give Maximus the care and attention he needs. His owner would like Maximus to go into a home with an adopter who can be with him throughout the day and monitor his medication more closely. Maximus is a happy-go-lucky dog with a lot of heart who loves people. He has had some basic obedience training and is leash trained. If you'd like to take in this wonderful dog, his owner is charging a minimal re-homing fee of $15 (to pay for a bottle of the medication the dog needs). The owner is currently in Asheville, North Carolina, and will not ship the dog, so if you would like to adopt Maximus, you'll need to travel to North Carolina to pick him up.
