Rory is a beautiful short-haired, chocolate brown, Shar-pei mix. He is a great companion for children and adults and was adopted through Pets In Need about 6 years ago to a loving family with children. His family recently contacted Pets In Need about finding him a new home because he does not get along well with other dogs in the neighborhood.

Rory is wonderful with his kids and his pet parents and other people that he meets as well as the family cats. He is very loving and playful and has been called a "65 pound lap dog!" He responds to basic commands (ie. sit, lay down, go, come), is house trained, and appreciates exercise but he would benefit from an obedience class for reactive dogs to help him and his new owner to know what to do when another dog is around.
While Rory is amenable to living with cats (lived with cats for 6 six years), he needs an environment that is free of other dogs. Rory must be an only dog and the right person will be that special someone who wants to spend a little quality time with their new pal working together in doggie class. The rewards with be many including a great new friend and a very strong bond.
