Hey, is it normal that my 2 month old pure shar pei is really shy? he barks at my mom sometimes, when she comes into the house, hes never barked at me, cz i am the leader, for some reason he doesnt like strangers, he will avoid them, anyhwhere, any time he sees a person he hides behind me or if we're at home he will hide under the table and bark. It this a normal behaviour? people tell me its cause hes still young, that once he gets older he will become less shy/scared of people. He sniffs them if they dont move or make eye contact, bt as soon as they move towards him he backs away.
