We had a 6 year old samoyed male. He was extremely healthy and walked five miles a day. He was up to date on all of his visits to the vet and got a clean bill of health at every one. We have two dogs and the female has been in heat for about 1 1/2 weeks. The male was fine yesterday when I walked him and eagerly got home to try to see her, but we kept them apart. Later in the day he tormented her relentlessly. At 5:30 last night he started to act like he needed to vomit, but had not ate much for three days so just had some yellow vomit. At night he seemed depressed and we felt that it was because he wanted the female. Between 12-4 this morning he died. Do you have no idea what may have happened. He wasn't acting like he was in pain, just like he may have the flu or be depressed, which in hindsight is not his nature. Can you shed some light on this. We worry for the second dog.
