My poor Pekingese, Tater, is only about 22 months old, but for at least six months of the time I've had him, he has been itching contstantly. I feel so sad for him and have tried everything I can think of, but he has been miserable. He has gotten really bad in the last 4 weeks. I have him on a Limited Ingredient Diet (Taste of the Wild), I use oatmeal shampoo, though I recently tried Life's an Itch shampoo by I Love Pet Head, and got his hair cut really short, in case it's his hair driving him crazy. I have taken him to the vet, but they can't tell me what the problem is. I hate seeing him so miserable. He has trouble sleeping because he wakes up itching and scratching. Can someone offer any advice? Is this a normal Pekingese trait?
