I just rescued a 9 week old red Queensland/Labrador mix puppy yesterday. He is very very shy, originally ate as if starved. He was in a box with 3 other puppies, and someone had poured water all over them, poor things. My question is, I know he needs to be socialized with our 3 other dogs...how long should I wait? They (old Queensland blue, bulldog/beagle mix, and terrier mix) have 'met' Bitzer, sniffing a bit while in my arms, but i'm hesitant to introduce him till he is a little less afraid. Is that wise? Other quick question...I'm deaf, would he make a good service dog for me, with training?
